Puppy Classes (8 - 18 wks.old)
Classes: 6 weeks Monday 6:30 – 7:30
Cost: $ 135.00
Trainer: Kim Zemba – Dog’s on
a Mission
Learn: Understand how your puppy thinks. Use
fun, humane teaching methods to address issues such as:
mouthing/chewing, crating/housebreaking, good manners, dominance
and socialization skills, confidence/trust building,
nutrition and grooming. You will become familiar with training
tools, and practice exercises that prepare you and your
puppy for basic obedience. This class sets the stage to turn
your puppy into a well-mannered, well-adjusted member of
your family. Ample time for controlled social interaction, and
discussion of individual issues. Supervised children & family
members welcome.

Basic Obedience Classes
(open to all ages)
Classes: 6 weeks Wednesday

Learn: Use fun, humane based training to teach
your dog the basics of obedience. Walking on a loose leash,
sit, down, stay,come when called, attention, targeting, place,
and a fun trick will be taught.
Please bring: lots of small soft treats, a 6 foot cotton or leather
leash. NO FLEXI’S OR CHAIN LEASHES. Collar
choices are buckle, slip, head collar or prong - changes in collars
may be recommended by trainer.
For safety and consideration to all class participants Please
DO NOT let your dog interact with others during the class.
Children and family members welcome, children
under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.

Animal Assisted Therapy (over 1 yr. old)
Trainer: Ingrid Nelson – Delta Society Evaluator
Trainer: Jane Babinsky – Therapy Dog Int’l (TDI)
and Canine Good Citizen (CGC)
Learn: Prepares handlers and dogs for the skills
required to become a successful therapy providing team. Some
previous obedience training useful. Dogs must be good with other
dogs. Handlers learn how to properly maintain the safety and
mental attitude of their dogs for enjoyable volunteering. Basic
skills are reinforced, confidence is built with teamwork being
the priority. Dogs will be introduced to hospital equipment and
will practice visiting etiquette. All to prepare the teams for
the
evaluations included at the end of this course.
